Common Questions

What does an immigration consultant in Singapore do?+
An immigration consultant assesses your eligibility, works out the strongest pathway (PR, citizenship, LTVP or a work pass), prepares and checks your documents, and helps you present your profile clearly to ICA or MOM. The decision always rests with the authorities. A consultant’s job is to make sure your application is complete, accurate and as strong as your circumstances allow.
Is an immigration agency the same as an immigration consultancy?+
Most people use the two terms interchangeably. Where firms do draw a line, an agency tends to focus on paperwork and submission, while a consultancy also advises on whether, when and how to apply. E&H does both: we assess and plan your case, then prepare and submit it. Whatever the label, look for a written scope of work, clear fees, a named consultant on your case, and honest advice when your profile is not ready yet.
Do I need an immigration agency, or can I apply to ICA myself?+
You can apply directly. ICA does not require you to use an agent, and many people do apply on their own. People come to us when the stakes are high or the case is not straightforward: a previous rejection, a family with several applicants, a gap in documents, or a profile that needs to be explained well to stand out.
How do I choose an immigration consultant in Singapore?+
Check four things. First, the firm should never promise approval, because no one outside ICA or MOM can. Second, ask for the fee and what it covers in writing before you pay. Third, read recent Google reviews, including the critical ones. Fourth, ask who will actually handle your case and how much experience they have with your type of application.
Can you help if my application was rejected before?+
Yes. Many of our clients come to us after a PR, citizenship or LTVP rejection. We look at what has changed in your profile since the last attempt and advise whether to appeal or reapply, and when. If the honest answer is to wait, we will tell you.
Do you guarantee approval?+
No ethical consultancy can guarantee approval. What we guarantee is a thoroughly prepared, fully compliant application that presents the strongest possible case for your profile.
How much does your service cost?+
Our fees depend on the service type and complexity. We provide a clear fee breakdown during your initial consultation. There are no hidden charges.
Can you help with denial of entry cases?+
Yes. Denial of entry cases are a core part of our practice. We analyse the circumstances and develop a structured strategy including documentation and representation.
